It is said that the afternoon tea tradition was established by Anne, Duchess of Bedford. She requested that light sandwiches be brought to her in the late afternoon because she had a “sinking feeling” during that time because of the long gap between meals. Tea created an atmosphere, an aura of grace and elegance, an institution of relaxation… a time to entertain friends and business associates alike. As many people began serving tea and inviting people over, it became a place to see and be seen, and most assuredly, a place to share the latest gossip. Our elegant tea room offer you all of that, as well as, an exquisite array of fine teas and pastries. Afternoon tea at Enchanted Tea Lounge is the epitome of southern hospitality.
